iSolate™ nanotech 

iSolate™ nanotech is an innovative nanotechnology that
protects the device 360º with a water repellent coating. It is
applied to hearing devices in a vacuum chamber ensuring that every single component of the hearing device is protected. 
This process applies a polymer coating 1,000 times thinner than a human hair to all surfaces of the hearing device.

When any kind of moisture or liquid comes in contact with coated devices, it simply forms beads that roll right off. iSolate™
nanotech coating also protects instruments from other types of debris that commonly come in contact with hearing devices, such
as ear wax and salt - preventing corrosion of all vital components of the device.

In order to ensure highest possible quality in the iSolate™ nanotech hearing aids, ReSound subjected them to a series of Accelerated Stress Tests (AST) in order to provoke damage and malfunctions. These five-week tests involved exposing the hearing aids to extremely arduous treatment using salt water, and earwax-like substance and punishing wear and tear on all hearing aid elements. After the test there were no acoustic or visible faults on the coated hearing aids.

The hearing aids were also subjected to a realistic rain test designed to simulate conditions when worn by a user in heavy rain. Also after this test the results were remarkable - no visual impact and no corrosion.
